I don’t often leave reviews, but this one felt important. I am a Hyatt Globalist. Whenever I stay at a Hyatt property, I try to see how they treat globalists on the reviews. All I could find was negative feedback from globalists. I will say, management has listened and made changes. I also think some construction ongoing was hindering the experience. That construction is now done and the experience was better than on par for a globalist. 1. I was greeted and provided waters in the room. 2. I was given bonus points on a pinwheel when we arrived. I haven’t seen those hit my account, but I expect to see them after the stag closes. 3. Breakfast was open on the weekdays in the restaurant!!! This was a big plus as this was not the case previously. 4. They do have a welcome drink, but it was extremely busy when we arrived and they were out. They were also out of their daily popcorn. 5. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was more spacious than a regular room. Only complaint on the room was the floors had a few noticeable dust bunnies. 6. The staff was very kind and attentive. They accommodated us very well! 7. Rooftop pool is nice. Fitness room is nice. Trolly pass is nice! 8. Very walkable to anywhere. My expectations were low and were exceeded!

The room is odd in an entertaining way. The phone is on the wall in a corner (see picture) and we didn’t see it the first night. I get why, it’s an old building. There’s an entire fridge (green Smeg) in our room. There’s a kettle, which made my day bc I love starting my day with tea. But there’s no outlet near the kettle so it’s now in the bathroom. The shower is European style, meaning that half glass thing that no American knows how to manage without getting water all over the floor. Those should be banned on this side of the world. I don’t understand why Europe likes them so much. And there’s no fan in the shower/toilet room. But there’s a vent. Which means maybe there’s a switch hidden (like the odd placement of the phone). And I was able to ask for the makeup mirror and robes. And the fixtures in the room are nice. The lighting is wonderful. The marble bathroom counter I want to steal and take home. And someone painted the armoire. It’s a good room. Everyone who works in the Barnett is an absolute delight. Lovely, lovely people. Nice, chatty, friendly. Great gym. Cool bars downstairs. We’re here for our anniversary and they brought us wine. Which was a really sweet, unexpected gesture that we will enjoy tonight.

A boutique hotel in a Chic part of town. Location wise is great proximity to most of the places you want to go in New Orleans, Bourbon Street, Garden District, Convention Hall, the Art Museum. The staff is out of this world! Kind, attention to detail and sincere. The plus are all the great lounges, restaurants, and bars associated with this hotel. Makes it easy to just walk 2 minutes to Seaworthy and Salon Salon. I highly recommend The Barnett!

Celebrated my 50th bday in New Orleans! This is my second time staying at this beautiful hotel & will not be my last. Everything was clean & staff are very friendly! Had an issue with valet parking my car which got booted twice so that was a little inconvenient. The hotel took care of the charges & it we still had an amazing time on our stay. Special shout out to Tyler the bartender, he was awesome & makes the best hurricanes we have ever tasted!

I'd give it five stars all around, but the hotel needs a basic office space with a printer, and my room had a vlackput curtain that didnt quite close, and the room faced a big light. The hotel is a block away from all the courthouses, and it's a pretty predictable need. However, Raven at the front desk took care of me, so I'll be back when the trip is for non-wirk trips.

Lorraine Elliott did a wonderful job for me during breakfast service. The next day, she recognized me in the hotel and we had a nice conversation. Lorraine’s people skills are of great value to The Barnett, and her food service skills were great. Highly recommend.

Booked a staycation here for one night with my husband and infant. Our room was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. Great location: walk to a concert at Lafayette square, walk to the French quarter, or take the streetcar uptown. Excellent dining options: we had a drink at the lobby bar, coffee in the morning, and dinner at Seaworthy restaurant. All excellent quality. Seaworthy is just as good if not better than when it opened years ago!

This is my third trip to New Orleans but my first time staying at the Barnett (and definitely not my last). My husband and I arrived late last night and were greeted so warmly by Justin. He asked us if we were in town for any specific reason and I mentioned we were celebrating my birthday. He mentioned he would send up champagne the next day to help us celebrate. Before heading up to our room, he offered us a welcome cocktail which was a delicious cosmopolitan. This evening, when we arrived back to our room after a long day of being tourist, we were surprised with a fabulous bottle of champagne. An actual bottle of champagne. My husband and I agreed that we would have just as delighted with a bottle of sparkling wine but Justin went above and beyond surprising us with an awesome bottle of champagne! Our room is great! Very spacious, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and a sizable table so we can enjoy some food and drinks. Only a few blocks from the French Quarter yet a relatively quiet location. There is a lot of charm and character to this hotel and I highly recommend! Not looking forward to checking out on Sunday! Thank you again Justin for the fabulous surprise! You have made our stay at the Barnett absolutely memorable!
